Visit Burgundy France
Nestled in the heart of the Burgundy region lies the picturesque town of Beaune, a true gem awaiting discovery for any traveler seeking an authentic French experience. During our recent adventure to this enchanting destination, we were delighted to uncover a myriad of delights, from historic castles to bustling markets and, of course, the finest wines the region has to offer.
Our journey began with the perfect Airbnb nestled amidst the serene beauty of Beaune's countryside. Situated within walking distance of the majestic Vougeot castle, this charming accommodation provided us and our dog a cozy retreat after days filled with exploration. Surrounded by old vineyards, we relished in leisurely strolls through the rolling hills, taking in the breathtaking views and soaking up the rich history of the region.
No visit to Burgundy would be complete without indulging in the region's most celebrated beverage – wine. At the renowned Clos de Vougeot castle known as the birthplace of Burgundy, this stunning castle and its winemakers have been around for 900 years. We embarked on a captivating wine tasting experience, guided by knowledgeable experts who shared the secrets behind each exquisite vintage. From velvety Pinot Noirs to crisp Chardonnays, each sip offered a glimpse into the terroir and craftsmanship that define Burgundy's winemaking tradition.
In the heart of Beaune, we found ourselves enchanted by the vibrant atmosphere of the local farmers' markets. Brimming with an abundance of fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, and fragrant herbs, these markets provided a sensory feast that ignited our culinary imaginations. We eagerly gathered ingredients for our own gastronomic adventures, inspired by the flavors of Burgundy.
A highlight of our trip was a visit to the Cook's Atelier, a culinary haven where we discovered many French treasures. What stood out the most was the warm and welcoming French-American family that runs this shop. Cook's Atelier is a cooking school, culinary boutique, and wine shop. We shopped for the highest quality kitchen items such as copper pots and French ceramic dishes. We also picked up their famous cookbook and enjoyed an espresso while chatting with one of the owners.
We fell in love with the brand Mauviel their copper pots embody the essence of French culinary excellence. With roots dating back to the early 19th century, Mauviel has upheld its reputation for producing premium quality copper cookware, prized by chefs worldwide. Handcrafted with expertise passed down through generations, these pots not only offer exceptional performance but also reflect the rich heritage and artisanal spirit of France. They have factory tours available during the week.

From castle tours to wine tastings, market excursions to culinary discoveries, our journey through Burgundy will always be memorable.Beaune had stolen our hearts, leaving us longing to return and explore its treasures once more.
